Profile

Joe has been working in education in various forms since 2011. He has worked as an outdoor educator, a naturalist, a sea kayaking expedition guide in Kenai Fjords National Park, a substitute teacher, and a field safety trainer for the United States Antarctic Program. He moved to Juneau from Seward, Alaska in 2022 with his partner and they both enjoy the feel of “big city life” that Juneau has to offer. When he’s not working, Joe enjoys long distance running, birding, and learning how to play complicated board games.
