Alicia is from Seattle, Washington, and has also lived in Chicago, Japan, India, Scotland and Spain. She taught English in Japan, and then spent 15+ years in software consulting, in roles including Chief Employee Experience Officer, Director of Delivery, Project Manager, Program Manager, DEIB Facilitator, Leadership Coach and Analyst. She transitioned to nonprofit work in 2021, working as the Interim Volunteer Coordinator at Lambert House, an LGBTQ+ organization supporting youth. Alicia joined the Region 16 Comprehensive Center to contribute to the team’s work in improving educational outcomes for all students. She delights in bringing organizational rigor and effectiveness to projects, and has a thirst to learn about different systems and approaches. She believes that society is better when people have equity in both education and opportunity, and she’s passionate about creating inclusive spaces that embrace and advocate for cultural diversity. Alicia looks forward to leveraging her skills to help create change and innovation in education.
