Lu Seapy has 25 years of experience in education working as a teacher, professional development instructor, program manager, and grant writer. She has managed several other SERRC employment trainings and bi-lingual education programs before returning in 2025 to work as the Federal Programs Coordinator. In addition to working at SERRC, she has taught at Kenai Peninsula and Mt. Edgecumbe school districts. As a technology instructor, she has led numerous professional development and technology integration programs across multiple school districts in Alaska and Oregon. She has been awarded Educator of the Year for her work with after school programming at the city, region, and state levels. She holds a Master of Arts and Teaching degree from the University of Alaska Southeast and a Reading Specialist Certification from Lewis and Clark College. Lu is excited to return to SERRC and work with school districts across the state of Alaska.
