Profile

Emily is a lifelong Alaskan and experienced educator. Emily’s teaching experience includes World Languages, English Language Arts, Outdoor Education, and training in alternative and therapeutic pedagogies. Emily spent over a decade teaching with the Anchorage School District and has experience teaching all grade levels, K-12. Her study of Spanish language has taken her to diverse classrooms around the world and she has collaborated with educators in Spain, Guatemala, and Mexico. Emily earned her Masters in the Art of Teaching from the University of Alaska and continued to complete her studies in Educational Leadership. A licensed administrator, Emily served as a district coordinator for Professional Learning and also a Title I Assistant Principal in Anchorage. Emily’s broad experiences in education inspire her to support programs that positively impact youth in Alaska.
