Sena Gilbert joined SERRC in 2022, filling the newly created position of Youth Brain Injury Program Coordinator. Prior to her work with SERRC, she was employed as a medical Speech Language Pathologist for 12 years in Fairbanks, Alaska. She has extensive experience in the assessment and treatment of cognitive communication disorders resulting from brain injuries. This background drives her passion for improving community collaboration to develop a system of support for students and families impacted by brain injury across our state. Outside of work you’re likely to find Sena with her husband and three children taking advantage of the endless outdoor recreation opportunities Alaska has to offer.
