Shannon joined SERRC in 2025 as a Specialist supporting Federal Programs and Out-of-School Time Programs. With over a decade of experience in applied research, program evaluation, and technical assistance, Shannon has partnered with state agencies, school districts, and community organizations to advance data- and story-informed decision-making that strengthens education systems for youth and communities. She has collaborated with Alaska’s district leaders and state education agencies on a range of federally funded initiatives, and she is excited to continue serving Alaska’s students and families as part of the SERRC team. Shannon holds a Ph.D. in Global and Comparative Education from Stanford University and loves the outdoors, especially paddling on calm water and walking slowly in the woods to look at plants and mushrooms.
