Mature Alaskans Seeking Skills Training (MASST)

Available throughout Southeast Alaska, MASST places adults (55 years +) in local, subsidized employment training, and helps expand their job skills to get a job. Once training and employment goals are set, MASST participants can work up to 20 hours a week for 11 months while receiving a training wage,

Along with paid on-the-job training, this program also offers:

• basic computer skills training
• resume and job application preparation
• interviewing skills strategies for job search and retention
• job placement assistance

Participants in this program must be 55 years of age or older, unemployed, and meet federal income guidelines to enroll in this program.
