Condition Surveys and Facility Appraisals
The foundation of a good CIP grant application is solid information. Condition Surveys and Facility Appraisals are useful tools for this, and often provide the basis to define and document much needed projects. SERRC can assist districts in putting together a team to conduct a Condition Survey or Facility Appraisal. We ensure that every Condition Survey we oversee includes viable options, cost benefit analysis, and life-cycle costing - the data needed to empower school districts to make informed decisions about their facility choices. A Facility Appraisal is often done in conjunction with a Condition Survey, and looks at the programmatic functioning of a facility in addition to its physical condition. The combination of the two provides a more complete picture of facility’s needs.
