The foundation of a good CIP grant application is solid information. Condition Surveys and Facility Appraisals are important tools for this, and often are essential to help define and document needed projects.
SERRC can assist your district in putting together a team to conduct a Condition Survey, and we work with that team to help ensure that the finished report includes the data needed to empower your district to make informed decisions about your facility needs, and to document these needs in a format that enhances a CIP application if necessary.
We can also assist you in performing a Facility Appraisal for your facilities. These are often done in conjunction with a Condition Survey, and address the programmatic functionality of a facility in addition to its physical condition. The combination of the Condition Survey and the Facility Appraisal provides a more complete picture of facility’s needs and deficiencies. In addition to the valuable insight they provide to the district, each of these has scoring implications in the CIP application process.
