WIA Youth Summer Employment Program Crew Leader

SERRC- Alaska’s Education Resource Center seeks a WIA Youth Summer Employment Program Crew Leader (SYEP).   This position will mentor youth ages 16-24 on a daily basis to conduct work activities and develop job skills. The Crew Leader will be the supervisor of the youth, as well as be responsible for implementing and overseeing the work projects to be accomplished and work with partnering agencies and employers in the community.

Must have a high school diploma or GED, technical training or teaching degree preferred, Alaska drivers license, fingerprints for background check, basic First Aid and CRP certification, experience working with youth of diverse socio-economic and cultural backgrounds, strong oral and written communication skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office Software, demonstrated  ability to mediate conflicts, ability to teach employability skills in accordance with the Youth Employability Skills (YES) checklist, and the Internet and knowledge of Alaska child labor laws.

Part-Time Early Identification (EI)/Infant Learning Program (ILP)

This paraprofessional provides early intervention services and assists other early intervention personnel in the provisions of services to children and families enrolled in the early intervention system.  This paraprofessional also fully participates in the team administration of developmental assessments, report writing, and development and implementation of the Individual Family Service Plan (IFSP). The position is supervised by the SERRC ILP case and Program Manager.

Speech Therapist
