ANSWER Camp (Alaska Native Student Wisdom Enrichment Retreat) combines Alaska Native learning styles and traditional activities with middle school math, science, and language arts applications. With its rigorus standards-based curriculum and project-oriented activities, studies show that ANSWER Camp participants increase their academic scoress by an average of 30% on targeted skills. Plus, 85% of surveyed students reported that they would like to pursue careers in the math and science fields.

Along with improving student achievement, ANSWER Camp prepares students for the workforce by linking middle school math and science to real jobs via presentations by STEM professionals in Alaska's high growth industries.

Since its inception in 1998, ANSWER Camp has served 1962 students from 150 communities.
