Volunteer
Volunteer at The Learning Connection (TLC) and help someone build a better life through education.
Volunteers are currently needed at TLC@Gruening Park for its after-school homework club from 3 to 4 pm, Monday through Thursday.
Volunteers for adults are also needed to help students:
- learn English as a second language
- improve math and basic education skills
- gain citizenship
- obtain a GED diploma
All volunteers must complete an application, interview, and pass a background check.

In the past five years, more than 1000 Southeast Alaska residents earned their GED.
