Educators - here’s your chance to work and learn with a new group of teachers and students. During your week in Juneau you will be chaperoning students and be part of a teaching team led by SERRC instructors. All-Alaska Academy session curriculum is aligned with Alaska Content Standards, which are included in the Teacher Resources information.  As an added benefit, you may be eligible for optional UAS professional development credit.

How do you prepare for your session?
You will be using the Teacher Resources information as you prepare yourself and students for participation. The process begins with submission of a Letter of Intent.  From this letter a Service Contract for tuition is prepared and sent to your district. Next, you use the "Session Countdown” form to organize your preparations. This form gives you timelines for all the necessary preparation steps, including forms to submit and assisting students with their advance assignments.

What will the session be like?
This will be an action-packed week with educational and evening activities for both students and teacher/chaperones.  We will all stay at the Juneau International Hostel, and our usual classroom is the Cathedral of the Nativity Parish Hall that is a short distance away. For additional information about your session, download and refer to the preparation information for students. Use the student checklist page found in the Student Resources section as a guide for what to bring.

Districts pay tuition and travel to and from Juneau, and tuition covers all but incidental session expenses: housing, meals from Sunday evening to Friday noon, materials and instruction, field trips and ground transportation.  Districts send one teacher/chaperone for every five students. Use the Just for Parents, and Just for Students links to learn additional session details.
